A post after my own heart having spent summers in a house in Montauk across from Ditch Plains — where I lived for resident surfer Cynthia Rowley sightings — met my husband at The Talkhouse (how I used to stay up until 3am every weekend listening to bands I’ll never know) and then got married at East Hampton Point. I, too, was a huge fan of seeing Paul McCartney — mine was always at Starbucks in EH!

I learned so much reading this. And I appreciate the lack of loud! This will be my trusty guide if I get around to actually visiting. I think I’ve always been put off by the “cool crowd” (and just crowds in general!) but this gave me a different perspective. Thank you, Dina ❤️

Oh I hope you get there at some point, and if you do, let me know! And I hear you, crowds and loud have really never been my cup of tea! So glad you enjoyed! xx

Love these special memories, Christine! And ha! That's exactly why I left The Talkhouse off- probably would have made the cut 15 years ago!

This Brit so enjoyed reading this! The next best thing to a Hamptons escape 🌞– especially as it is currently so cold and raining here in the UK! And I’ve only ever seen those traffic queues to the Hamptons in movies, and never been to NYC in the summer! So wonderful to read. 🥰
