Oh Dina, this is one of my favourite essays of yours - and I love each one! - and one of my favourites of late here, FULL STOP! Real, true, and captures exactly what we’re all feeling so much of the time, and you are SO right about just doing the thing - and in in the form of a beautiful essay here. And your beloved kitty 💗 - we have a boy the same age and could be her English twin!! 🐈⬛ Know just how hard these periods are - sending 🙏🤗. (Also, my texts and WhatsApps are always full of typos and inappropriate autocorrect’s 😂 and I drive my family mad dictating everything because I can’t find my glasses to see my screen.🤷♀️) And SO exciting to hear about your project’s progress - just wonderful!! 👏💃🏻XXXX

Just catching up with reading here and your first paragraph tugged at my heartstrings, especially after seeing your Instagram post with an update. I keep thinking of you. I've had the same experience, multiple times, and each loss has broken me. So I type this with tears in my eyes, imagining some of what you're probably going through right now, while not presuming to know your unique experience. The way these sweet souls weave their way into our lives. It's indescribable. As is the void they leave. Holding you close in my heart xo P.S. You are as real as writer as anyone I've ever read. I did one creative writing class which I dropped out of halfway through because everyone was up their own ass, and I have no f*cks to give about credentials or any of that jazz. The way we keep ourselves in cages.
